My name is Ekaterina Semenkova. I am an artist based in Berlin, Germany.

My work explores themes of self-exploration, emotional resilience, and personal transformation.

I am particularly interested in the psychological impact of lived experience, including identity, trauma, and healing, as well as the tension between societal expectations and individual freedom.

Working primarily in soft pastel, as well as watercolor and oil, I combine elements of realism, magical realism, and subtle surrealism to create images that focus on emotional depth and inner states rather than external narrative.

My artistic practice is rooted in close observation and continuous learning.

With a background outside of the arts, I came to pursue art professionally through a conscious decision to realign my work with my core interests and values.

I aim to create work that invites reflection and offers a space for connection on a human level.
